(a)
Research Fellowship
The
Forum offers Junior Fellowships every year for scholars from Gujarat and
other neighboring states to visit the Centre for one month each to
consult its library. Those who are registered for research degrees
(Ph.D. or M. Phil.) are eligible to apply for this fellowship. A monthly
stipend of Rs.8000/ (Rupees eight thousand only) will be paid to the
Fellow. No traveling allowances will be paid to the candidate. A
recipient of any other fellowship is not eligible to receive this
fellowship. Preference will be given to those who come from socially and
economically disadvantaged background.
(b)
Library Fellowship
The
Forum offers library fellowships for scholars outside Baroda to visit
the Centre for a period of one month each to consult books in its
library. Each library fellow will receive a consolidated amount of Rs.
8000/ (Rupees eight thousand only). The Forum will not pay for his/her
travel.
(c)
Translation Fellowship
The
Forum announces two fellowships for translation studies per year. Each
fellowship carries an amount of Rs. 8000/. Those who are interested in
translating critical texts from English to regional languages such as
Gujarati, Marathi, and Hindi or vice versa are eligible to apply for
this fellowship.

Senior Fellows
Senior
scholars having good publication record are eligible to send proposals
for this fellowship. The duration of this fellowship is for one month. A
senior fellow will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 10,000/ and travel
allowance up to AC II train fare. A formal proposal along with a copy of
the C.V. is required for considering the application.
(e)
Scholar-in-Residence
This fellowship is available for
distinguished scholars from countries in South Asia other than India to
visit the Centre for a minimum period of one month to consult its
library. During his/her stay in Baroda the visiting scholar is welcome
to accept lecture-invitations from any of the universities or
educational institutions in India and to travel to places of interest
for getting a taste of the country’s cultural richness and variety.
The visiting scholar is eligible for travel money from his/her country
to Baroda and back and a monthly allowance of Rs. 20,000/. A formal
proposal along with a copy of the C.V. is required for considering the
application.
